Bio

Kara Cey aka Vathan C. was born in Brussels at 1990 and got in touch with music at the early age of 11. Beginning with piano lessons he soon realized he wanted to do more than that and started to experiment with computer software’s and tape loops. At the age of 15, influenced by the electronic scene, he started to buy vinyls and his 1st dj-set. After improving his DJ skills he soon began to perform at parties and won several DJ-contests. By digging deeper and deeper he discovered new styles of music and underground producers from back at the time till now. His DJ-sets are known as intense and filled with forward thinking ideas. It can be really dark but still has room for less darker music. It is an endless journey trough landscapes filled with obstacles and open spaces. With the age and experience rising, which had a big impact in his production skills, Ceyhun Karasu decided to isolate himself from the scene and focus on his feelings and sounds. After experimenting with a lot of different sounds and emotions, Kara Cey made his first tracks which received a lot of positive feedback from the people of his environment. He gains the attention of his audience but is still quiet “unknown” because that’s the way he wanted to be. Today Ceyhun Karasu is studying Philosophy at the VUB and is still producing music. His style is very difficult to describe, it goes from very dark and deep hypnotic music with disordered structures to very bright ethereal music. His music is a combination of acoustic and electronic music in al his shapes with pure feelings and disordered structures. Urban Tribes
