Simian Mobile Disco

Yes, they made the original ‘We Are Your Friends’ track with the experimental electronic rock band Simian back in the days, later remixed by Justice. Later they became SMD, a duo combining the dynamics of rock with the propulsive groove and acid fury of techno, electro and rave. Simian Mobile Disco just released a brand-new album in August, ‘Temporary Pleasure’. As well as representing the best of UK dance music, the record contains some staggering pop anthems, featuring vocal contributions from the likes of Beth Ditto (Gossip) and Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip).
